Nina and Nick got married at Quonquont Farm in Whately on a hazy afternoon in August. Hazy was an upgrade from the original forecast, which had originally called for tons of rain, and had made me nearly as neurotic as Nina must have been with checking the forecast. But as New England goes, the day came and Meteorologist Ashley Baylor, whom Nina and Shana like to pretend is someone they actually know, was totally wrong. I’m not kidding about this, Shana legitimately calls the woman “Baylor” like she’s some old teammate, and we learned from Nick that Nina goes about saying “Well, Ashley Baylor says the weather…”
If only Ashley Baylor knew.
But weather aside, Nina and Nick’s wedding day was gorgeous and so laid back. They had a short and sweet ceremony in the Orchard, which is our favorite place for ceremonies at Quonquont. An old restored vintage truck made an appearance in the photos, which always makes our hearts sing as both Shana and I have a thing for old cars, even more when we get to photograph awesome people with them. They danced the night away with some equally awesome friends and family, and when the last song of the night, “Time of my Life” from Dirty Dancing came on, Nick expertly lifted Nina above his head and spun her around, and we all seriously felt like we were in a movie for five whole seconds. It was pretty magical and adorable all wrapped up into one. Enjoy!
