We are seriously psyched to show these off for a number of reasons. The main one being that we got to go SKIING with these two, on an incredibly gorgeous day, but also because it proves a point we’ve been making a lot lately. Most of our clients have all heard this schpeel, but for those who haven’t booked us yet or haven’t booked an engagement shoot with us yet I’ll reiterate what we’ve been saying for awhile: do something that MEANS something to you both. An activity you actually do. While frolicking in a field at sunset is always gorgeous, there’s this authenticity that comes out when our clients choose to do something that they do with each other normally. It especially helps with people who aren’t fond of having their photographs taken, as is the case with most of our grooms.
So when Marcin and Tricia said they wanted to head up to Mt. Snow for their engagement shoot we were beyond thrilled. There was an element of terror in that mix as well, as it was the first time we’d ever attempted skiing with our (very expensive) gear. By some miracle neither of us managed to wipe out. Plus, it was so worth any wipeout that might have happened. The mountain had just gotten a fresh coating of snow and things were seriously magical. Not to mention it was the only decent day that week, the surrounding days were dreary as hell. Enjoy Marcin and Tricia’s snowy Mt. Snow engagement shoot!
