Janna and Don are awesome. Seriously, I could just end the blog post with that and it would be absolutely perfect and all the description these two need. But because they’re so awesome I feel the need to elaborate.
The pair got married on a very New England-ish blustery day in Vermont, at a quaint little farm on the side of a hill with views of the mountains surrounding. I’ve mentioned this before during their engagement shoot, but for a refresher, Janna is also a wedding photographer. You’d think there would be a crazy amount of pressure on us because of that, or that Janna might seriously micromanage the day, but you’d be so very wrong. From the moment they hired us, to the end of the wedding when we were saying our goodbyes, she was the center of calm and all smiles and laughter. She could teach any bride a thing or two about enjoying her wedding day, she was really that at ease. Plus, mega bonus? She gave us so much time. It was luxurious, even.
The ceremony was as heartfelt as you could get, with Janna’s brother officiating and all of their close friends and family in attendance. Smiles, laughter, and tears were had by all, most especially when Janna’s mother read aloud Sara Bareilles song “I choose you.” Afterward, the fire lit reception was both quaint and an absolute party. We are so very happy and honored that these two chose us as their wedding photographers, and we can’t wait to share the video we captured as well later next month!
