Oh man, what don’t we love about these two? Janna and Don are easily the sort of people Shana and I would strike up a conversation with at a bar with and become best friends overnight. Janna is a wedding photographer herself, and a damn good one at that, so if they both weren’t so absolutely down to earth and cool all around it might make for a stressful relationship. I don’t care what anyone says, photographing another photographer is super hard and there’s a lot of pressure involved. But not with these two!

We met up for their engagement photos down at Harkness State Park, and it could not have been a better evening for these, even though the forecast all week kept telling us it was going to rain. New England. So when the day finally arrived we were all thrilled there wasn’t any rain, and there was gorgeous sunshine to boot. We had a blast wandering the park, avoiding children in tutu’s who were hogging the daffodil fields, and ended up on the beach reenacting The Little Mermaid.

We’re shooting Janna and Don’s wedding in November in Vermont, and if it weren’t for the fact that we just went through a hell of a winter and dreadfully long spring, we’d be wishing the summer would hurry up and get on with it, because we are SO excited to shoot their wedding. But for now, soak up their gorgeous sunny engagement shoot!
