We had the pleasure of meeting Cindy and Jenna over dinner at our friend’s Amy and Grace’s house this winter. Cindy and Jenna are both nurses, as is Grace, and so naturally we loved them both immediately (have you met nurses? they have the grossest, coolest stories.) A few months after that dinner we got a phone call from Cindy about hiring us for their wedding, needless to say we were totally thrilled (anddddd maybe we were waiting for it.)

Our first attempt at engagement photos failed due to some crappy weather, but it was one of those fate moments, because the weather we had on the night we finally got to shoot their engagement photos was to die for. The two came over to our house to catch up first, and a few days previous to that on a drive home from the opposite side of town I saw this incredible sunflower field, so after catching up we traveled out that way in hopes the field was still there (you never know in New England, they chop them so unexpectedly!) We stopped various places on the way there, and there just so happened to be a couple of hot air balloons that dropped by to provide for one of the coolest backdrops ever. To our delight the sunflower field was still around, and we finished up there and a nearby grassy field. We’re so glad when reschedules work out so fantastically!

PS: I don’t have to explain that Cindy is in the military, obviously. A big fat STICK IT, DON’T ASK DON’T TELL. =)
