The Snow Queen

Let me start by saying that it took us over a year to do this shoot. We tried to do it last year, but as most of you know it was a super mild winter last year and there was never any snow on the ground. This winter there was plenty, but it was also freezing many of the times we planned on it. What the hell do you expect with snow on the ground, in the dead of winter, right? Well, we wanted snow, and we wanted it to be warm enough for Rita to avoid getting frostbit in a little itty bitty dress. We finally found a day where that was possible (it was in the mid 40’s) and wouldn’t you know it, she got a mild case of frostbite anyway. Now that we’ve scared away all potential models with the working conditions we put them through…

We love Rita. She let’s us do pretty much whatever we want, in whatever we want, whenever we want. We just realized that we’ve done a shoot with her for every season except spring. We had her as a Moss Princess in summer, The Red Rita Shoot in Fall, and now The Snow Queen. Now all we need is a shoot of her frolicking in a field of flowers or some nonsense and we’ll have covered them all. Seriously, Rita, get on the pinterest idea shopping for spring ideas! Enjoy =)
