Kelly + Shawn’s Snowy Hatfield Engagement

We love when we get to use our backyard (both figuratively and physically) for an engagement shoot. Hatfield is such a quintessential New England farm town, and there’s so many picturesque spots for gorgeous engagement photos. We had Kelly and Shawn meet at our place before we headed down to the Elementary school, which has an awesome open corn field, to start. After that we headed back to our place to warm up before an outfit change, and the rest of the shoot, I shit you not, was shot entirely in our side yards with lots of road traffic in the background. Here’s photos so you can get an idea:

We had to brag about this (just a little!) because we’re pretty fantastic at making crappy locations look really good. But back to Kelly and Shawn, who have awesome talents of their own, I’ll have you know. Kelly is a kick ass roller derbiest (is that even a word?) and Shawn is in a band. We love these two for their incredible laid back nature and sweet matching style, WHICH THEY DON’T EVEN PLAN. Some people.
