Inspired {two}

Shana and I have spent the past month getting everything organized for our crazy upcoming wedding season, but it’s nice that we’ve got enough down time in the winter to get things accomplished and we’re able to play around a little. We’ve been using me as a model thus far, which obviously makes it hard for me to have the opportunity to shoot, but I did manage to go out and do a couple of self portraits in the crazy fog we had last week. It might’ve been more eventful if I didn’t get scared off 10 minutes into it by a man who stopped and asked if I needed help, then repeatedly drove past the field I was in and gave me the “get the hell out of here” vibe. So I did.

Maybe if my wife would MODEL FOR ME TOO =P

So the first of these was us messing around with an old slide projector with gels over the light source. We played with that for awhile because even though we really wanted to go outside, it was -5 degrees out with a wind chill of around -15. But then we were like, whatever, we can always go back inside when it gets too cold.

WELL LET ME TELL YOU, we lasted all of THREE MINUTES each time. We went out three separate times because it was so cold I couldn’t keep a nice looking face, it just turned into grimacey miserable Brittney and I wish I was the type of girl who looked pretty with a grimace but I’m most certainly not. We ended the night in the warmth of our home and Shana managed to take one of my favorite pictures of me of all time.

She’s really good, you know.

But stay tuned for when I finally get her in front of the camera! It’s my turn!

Beautiful pictures! Y’all are brave to go out in that weather. I’m cold just looking at the pictures! Burrrr.

I’ll volunteer to model if you ever need someone. You two seem cool and I am in MA and miss being in front of the camera. http://www.alexandramcdougall.net
