Caroline & Tom’s Boston Common Engagement

We’ve got a public service announcement for you all today: Don’t ever, and we mean EVER, travel into Boston on a weekend that has Mother’s Day and graduation fall on the same weekend. We’ve never seen Boston so crazy in our lives, and Boston is pretty crazy to begin with. We were late for the first (and hopefully last!) time ever in our lives to a session, our normal one and a half hour commute to the city took THREE hours, and we left an hour early like we always do when we’re shooting in the city to account for traffic and parking. Thankfully Caroline and Tom are both cool and super sweet and totally understood. We were also super lucky that we’d scheduled a little earlier in the evening than we normally do, so the half an hour we missed just turned into better light.

We met Caroline and Tom on the Boston Common and spent the rest of the evening walking around the Beacon Hill part of the city. They took us to some of their favorite locations, and the blooming trees and bushes were absolutely to die for. The weather was absolutely perfect, which just compounded the craziness, as we were competing with everyone else for engagement, quinceanera, prom, graduation, and wedding photos everywhere we went. In the end it was absolutely worth it, and we had such a good time getting to know Caroline and Tom. Enjoy their Boston Common engagement session!
