Emma & Mike’s Intimate Backyard Nuptials

Emma and Mike were the first couple we’ve never met before shooting their wedding (they live out of state), but even so, we knew we were going to adore these two. For starters, Emma’s mother Dody was the one who contacted us, and from the moment she talked to Shana on the phone we knew everyone involved was going to be incredible. Shana couldn’t stop gushing about how awesome her phone conversation with Dody was, which is always a good sign.

The day finally came where we got to meet these two, and our very first encounter could not have been more hysterical. Our dear friend and past client, Hannah, now helps us out when we’re shooting video, and when we arrived at the quaint little B&B where Emma was getting ready one of the first things she said to Shana (who went upstairs to check in while Hannah and I were downstairs getting our gear ready) was “Oh, I know one of your past brides, too, I went to Mt. Holyoke with her!” and when Shana asked who, from downstairs Hannah and I both heard her go “Hannah Wareham” to which Shana laughed and replied “She’s downstairs!”

The surprise was heard in both Emma and Hannah’s responses, hugs and laughs were had, and we all could not stop talking about what a small world it really is.

The ceremony was held at Mike’s parents house (we know a little something about how awesome weddings on your parents property can be) and everything, from the garden they created to hold the ceremony in, to the adorable details of the reception, was perfect. So intimate and relaxing, and there was nothing but smiles from everyone all night long. We are so glad these two and their families chose us to be there for them on such an incredible, gorgeous day.
