Editing these photos made me sad for a few reasons. Mostly they made me sad because my kid brother is no longer a kid at all. I don’t know what happened to the baby who used to fall asleep next to me in the car while death gripping my finger, the toddler who used to snuggle next to me on the couch while watching Blues Clues, the child who was so emotionally in tune with his crazy sisters that he knew just the right moment when you needed a hug, or the unbelievably loyal kid who never once told on you when you stole your parents car (without a license!) and went for joy rides. Oh god, I should not have even started this, I’m already crying. I was going to make a joke about how what I really miss the most is the WEATHER, but now I’m being sappy and it’s totally ruined, right?
I’ll stop before this turns into a blubberfest and I embarrass my brother so much he’s forced to drop out of high school at the last minute. Check out Elton’s awesome senior session we shot while visiting Florida this past November. Doing what he does and loves the best, skim boarding.
