Cindy & Jenna’s Military Wedding

Where do we start with these two? Cindy and Jenna held their military wedding at Harkness Park on the water in Connecticut, and the day couldn’t have been more of a mixture of awesome hilarity and historical importance all wrapped up in a sensational day. Cindy is a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and we couldn’t have been more proud and honored to be the ones to photograph their wedding. We know just a few years ago this never would have happened, and the enormity of that was evident the entire day.

But besides all that, what a party! Jenna and Cindy are such an awesome fun couple, and it’s absolutely evident in these photos. Cindy had us laughing our asses off the entire time, and Jenna just seemed like getting married was something she does on a daily basis, the center of ease. There were awesome military traditions thrown in, like when Cindy’s father and military friends did a sword arch after the ceremony (I have no idea what this is actually called) and sealed their marriage with a sword swat to Jenna’s butt to welcome her to the family. There was a somber, sad reminder of all the prisoners of war we’ve lost at the reception, with a lone table set for one and symbolic items placed on the table.

Our dear vendor friend DJ Lori B had the dance floor totally hopping, and everyone there got their serious party on. We had a blast photographing Cindy and Jenna’s incredible wedding, now go and enjoy the photos!
