Let me just start by thanking our dear photographer friend, Sandra Costello, for this amazing location. We were feeling a bit in a rut when it came to locations for engagement shoots, we’d been using the same spots over and over and it’s hard to get creative when you’re using the same location all the time. So we reached out to Sandra, gave her an idea of what we were looking for, and boy did she deliver! Art in the Orchard is exactly what it’s title implies. Artists have sculptures scattered around a gorgeous orchard featuring views of the surrounding mountains, it’s AMAZING.
So on to Carrie and Andrew! The couple lives in NYC, but often vacations with family in Boca Grande, FL. If you know us at all, Boca is the island we both lived on when we first met (and both of our parents live there). Shana owned a bakery there, and I was working at a restaurant nearby when we met through mutual friends. We also got married on Boca, so when Carrie contacted us about her wedding on Boca we were thrilled to say the least! She was having a hard time finding a local photographer she jelled with in the area, but through a couple of mutual island friends she got our name and the rest is history. So on one of the last weekends in October Carrie and Andrew came up to our area for a little retreat/engagement shoot. It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day out, even with all the clouds. It was perfectly New England, and so totally unique. We loved these two, this spot, and this day! We can’t wait to shoot their wedding in just a few weeks!
