Where do we start with Amanda and Nick? How about with their awesome families. Because we mean it when we say they’re awesome, and then they went and merged their awesomeness together and we’re kind of overwhelmed with the awesomeness of it all. But really, from the moment we met these lot we knew we were going to love them to pieces. We had the pleasure of spending an evening at Amanda’s family home after we shot their engagement photos, and John and Susan (Amanda’s parents) wooed us with John’s famous drinks and Susan’s TO DIE FOR (no really, I might kill someone for it if necessary) eggplant parm.
It was no surprise when the big day came and it felt like we were around old friends. Amanda and Nick are total Harry Potter nerds like me (as well as sharing in my love for other geektastic stuff like Buffy and Game of Thrones) and Shana has simply been around me long enough to be able to hold her own when we start nerdtalking. Which there was plenty of, because they managed to inject Harry Potter AND Game of Thrones into their wedding. The day was so smooth, and there was so many smiles, nothing makes us happier than seeing that. The night was complete with tons of 90s music and a cigar bar, which made for killer photos. We’re so very happy for these two and their families, enjoy their gorgeous wedding!
Oh! and that eggplant parm I would kill for? Turns out they know me well enough already, because as a thank you gift Susan and the girls made us like FIVE frozen containers of them. We’re already down to one, and I fear I might have to be institutionalized when it’s all gone. It’s for Shana’s own good.
